Show me your selfie

it’s an exhibition curated by Jung Me Chai in Aram Museum, Korea and Diskurs Berlin, Germany.

I intend to explore a moment, a projection that came from inside. Show me your selfie is about to discover the moment that penetrating in time, do the matches remind you of the little girl from The Little Match Girl (Hans Christian Andersen 1805-1875), or the cave in ancient times when people first encounter fire. What a fire means for now? A violent proposition, a dangerous act, or pretending to be.

the final result comes from hundreds of matchsticks, on the matching paper, from the same direction, what I wrote and drew before finally vanish and covered with an action.

same as how I placing the matches back into the box without covers, they are different, but all the same, with fire or without fire.

I found many frames in Berlin flea market, I do not know which one would speak to me, some from Italy, some from the Turkish community, some from local Germans, I prepared them in my kitchen to make sure I can see them every day…then the metal one became the one you saw on the wall, it’s an emotional choice or a precise choice of mind?
